Who we are
Palm Beach Quiet Skies Coalition began in late 2025 as an informal group of residents of Palm Beach island and the West Palm Beach neighborhoods along the Intracoastal. We had one thing in common: after October 20, 2025, our lives were dramatically disrupted. Aircraft that used to pass well away from our homes began passing much closer, throughout the day and night.
More than 2,000 people signed our first petition. We installed our own network of noise monitors and publish what they record at pbinoise.com; we have briefed local officials, the County, the Town of Palm Beach and the press. We are now organizing as a formal nonprofit, a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization, so that we can retain experts and counsel and see this through.
How we work
The Coalition is run by volunteers and funded by residents. We work with professional advisors for public outreach, aviation analysis and legal strategy. Our positions are our own; we are not affiliated with any political party, candidate or campaign. We do not dispute that a restriction around Mar-a-Lago should exist, or the Secret Service’s judgment about protection; our questions are about the size the FAA chose and the environmental assessment we believe the rule should have. We are residents, not lawyers or aviation engineers; we work with professionals in both, and we would rather find answers with the FAA than argue with it.
