Privacy Policy

The Palm Beach Quiet Skies Coalition (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a group of residents of Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. This policy explains what information we collect through palmbeachquietskies.org, how we use it, and who we share it with. Questions about it go to info@palmbeachquietskies.org.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you sign up for updates, we collect your name, email address and mobile phone number. Other sign-up forms we use may also ask for your postal address or ZIP code. When you email us, we receive whatever you include.

Text messaging opt-in data. If you opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile phone number and the record of your consent, which we need to send you messages.

Comments you file with the FAA. Our comment tool asks for your first and last name, email address and ZIP code, your answers to a few questions, and the comment itself. The tool files your comment in the FAA’s public docket, FAA-2026-10827, on regulations.gov. The FAA publishes comments there, including the commenter’s name and anything the comment says. Put nothing in a comment that you would not want published. Our form provider receives what you enter so that it can file your comment, and we may receive a copy.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, your browser sends information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. We and our analytics and advertising partners, including Google Analytics and Meta, use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to collect it. We use it to understand how people find and use the site, to measure our campaign’s advertising, and to show our messages to people who have visited this site when they are on other websites and social media. These partners collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies.

Donations. If you make a donation, your payment is handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive your name, email address, the amount, and any address you provide, and we keep the records the law requires.

2. How we use information

To send you updates about the campaign by email and, if you opted in, by text message.
To file the comments you ask our comment tool to file.
To answer your questions.
To understand how the site is used and to reach people with the campaign’s messages.
To comply with the law.

Your phone number and text messaging opt-in data are used only to send you campaign-related text messages.

3. Text messages

By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Palm Beach Quiet Skies. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Service providers that host this site, run our forms, and send our emails, acting on our instructions and only for those purposes.
The FAA’s public docket, for comments you ask us to file (see section 1).
Analytics and advertising partners, which collect information about your visit through their cookies and pixels (see section 1).
When the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared, as section 3 says.

5. Your choices

Email: every update email has an unsubscribe link.
Text messages: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
Your information: email info@palmbeachquietskies.org to ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. Comments already filed with the FAA are part of the FAA’s public docket, and only the FAA can change them.
Cookies and advertising: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out tool, and out of interest-based advertising from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org. Social media platforms let you control ad preferences in your account settings.

We keep sign-up information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

6. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet, or of electronic storage, is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Other websites and children

This site links to other websites, including regulations.gov and news sites. Their own privacy policies apply there, not this one.

This site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
